89+ pts Stephen Tanzer's IWC - Juicy, spicy and tight; a bit dominated by its structure today but quite fine-grained.

In view we appreciate ruby colors, intense and brilliant. The nose offers aromas of red and black fruits such as blackberries with spicy notes and hints of coffee and chocolate. The mouth has a sweetish attack, tannins very present that gives the wine elegance with good body and long finish displaying structure. The finish is long and harmonious tannins exhibiting round.

Awards, Reviews and other Notes

89+ pts Stephen Tanzer's IWC
(32% Malbec, 30% Merlot, 16% Syrah, 9% Cabernet Franc, 9% Petit Verdot and 4% Cabernet Sauvignon): Bright, dark red. Enticing floral lift to the aromas of black and red berries and espresso. Juicy, spicy and tight; a bit dominated by its structure today but quite fine-grained. The fresh finish shows slightly edgy building tannins. This elegantly styled blend needs another year or two in the bottle. -- Stephen Tanzer

87 pts Robert Parker Jr.'s The Wine Advocate (LG)
I couldn’t find the vintage for the 2013 La Folie anywhere on the label of this multi-grape blend of 50% Merlot, 19% Petit Verdot, 15% Cabernet Franc,10% Syrah and a pinch of Cabernet Sauvignon. The blend is a combination that might have rendered it a little anonymous. A ripe red blend with berry and spice aromas, it has a soft, polished palate. 20,204 bottles produced.
