Brilliant pale straw with a youthful hue. Intense, lifted aromas of ripe peach, nectarine and cantaloupe well-integrated with toasty French oak. A full-bodied style displaying elegant peach, nut and biscuity notes perfectly balanced with crisp acidity. |

Ripe melon, peach and poached pear aromas are complemented by notes of toasty lees, with a fine dusting of iodine and smoky minerals adding depth. The juicy melon and tropical fruit flavors offer very good depth, and the finish shows a gently sweet character that blends smoothly with the toast and smoke notes. This is impressively complex for the price.

Winemaker Notes |
This Chardonnay was sourced from our Frasca’s Lane Vineyard in Victoria’s cool climate King Valley. After picking, the grapes were gently pressed and underwent a long, cool fermentation. 40% of the blend remained unoaked and was stored on gross yeast lees to add complexity. The remaining 60% was matured in new and seasoned French oak, being stirred monthly to add complexity, for 10 months before bottling. |
